Why Eggs from Free Range Poultry are Better for You

I've tried three ways to copy the article here so you can read it, but as you can see it won't paste. It's an interesting article though. :-)

  2. OK, here's a question for you to ponder on. Free range chickens have access to pastures, lawns, basically everything on the ground. Now my question is, do chickens have natural anitbodies to prevent the spread of disease which bugs, flies, runoff water, bird drippings, etc. that they consume in their natural diet? Or will future research show people are effected by these things over the years. Please get back to me on your thoughts when you have time. If you don't want to, just delete this comment.

  3. The easy answer is I believe God designed intricate systems to work well together and when we follow them we receive the most benefit.

I am having a difficult time remembering the name of the theory oppostie from what Louis Pasteur proposed. His contemporary believed this opposite theory and so do I. He maintained that our bodies can fight pathogens when beneficial bacteria are allowed to flourish within. Some people might freak out to read this, but I am not afraid of germs. I don't go out of my way to clean everything I touch. I also have never had the flu, and rarely get colds.

So in how I see that relating to your question-the chicken's body is made to eat those things, as evidenced in the healthier eggs produced when eating what we'd consider trash. A hen can turn what's not so good for us into a miraculous egg that is loaded with nutrients OUR bodies need.

Another example is the cow and/or goat. They eat grass or leaves and turn it into a protein rich fluid that is almost complete in its nutrition. If we ate grass and leaves we'd probably just get the runs (sorry if that's too gross). I think it all comes back to the wonder of God and His creation. Humankind existed for thousands of years without our current technology. Some is good, some not.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?
